Google Search Tips (often applicable to other major search engines too)

• Exclude results
  Example: company telecommunication -isp
  finds all entries containing company and telecommunication but not ISP
• Include common words
  Example: Star Trek +1
  finds entries containing star and trek and 1 (which usually would be ignored as common word)
• Phrase search
  Example “Franz Beckenbauer”
  finds entries containing the phrase written exactly like that
• Synonym Search
  Example: ~statistics
  Finds entries with the term statistics and synonyms of statistics
• Alternate Search
  Example: ad agency vienna OR salzburg
  find entries containing agency and vienna or agency and salzburg
• Search within certain website
  Example: blauensteiner site:www.crimezzz.net
  finds entries containing the term blauensteiner only in the website crimeZZZ.net
